How To Beat The Raven Without Purchasing Ammo

The best strategy for this Boss Fight is outlined below. The key to this strategy is to hold off on icing and take advantage of the time frame between when you pick up The Ravens trail and when the timer for the fight is activated. The drop rules for ammo items behave differently during these two phases.

Now that you see the difference in ammo drop behavior, you can utilize it to your advantage. The most important rule of this strategy is to ensure you don’t trigger The Raven until you are maxed on Job and Rob ammo items. If you want to farm fight ammo as well, you need to make sure you don’t ice anybody. Find your favorite health hog and go to town. Once the banner appears on your Home Page, immediately stop icing people and farm 50 of each ammo item. You can hold off on the fight ammo because you will get it once you are ready to trigger The Raven. I used over 60,000 stamina robbing to get as many Rains of Pain as I could hold. I did the same for jobs and then I started icing. 

Once I started icing, I maxed out on Face Choppers and found once The Raven was triggered that Armagrendades also dropped at a much better rate. This is due to the fact that there is a cap of how many ammo items can drop during the 8 hour timer. Because I farmed enough Rains of Pain and Nunchuck Flurrys during the trail phase, these did not apply to the limit of what we believe to 50 not enough testing to verify as fact). 

Once The Raven is triggered, you have 8 hours to take his 60,000 health down to 0. If you have 50 each Rains of Pain and Face Choppers, you can make 25 attacks using the yellow combo. Because this was the second appearance of The Raven for me, I wanted to verify that your Red Combo stays the same and it does. After testing the 1 red combo shown above, I then attacked The Raven using only the Yellow Combo. When I used up all of my Rains of Pain, The Raven had 4,105 health left.  

I compared my ammo before and after I got to the point above. I was running the Assassin-a-Nator at the same time as I was attacking The Raven so I picked up some extra Face Choppers and Armagrenades.

I went back to robbing to try to score some more Rains of Pain but none would drop. The same was true of all the other items. Once the 8 hour timer is activated, you can only pick up 50 items. I had plenty of Nunchuck Flurries so I just used those until I defeated The Raven.


To ensure you that you realize The Ravens trail has been picked up and you should stop icing, Team Spockholm is updated the Assassin-a-Nator. The Raven was also added to the Desktop Notification options. The strategy above will not work if you keep icing and trigger The Raven before you farmed enough ammo items. If you do miss this valuable window, you can always let the timer run out and wait 3 more days to try again.
