The Return of the Raven Walk Through )

The Raven has returned and many players aren't happy. The Ammo was nerfed, the Raven's health has increased, the Ammo drop rates still suck and the 8 hour timer makes this Boss Fight a frustrating challenge. I don't mind a challenge but this is ridiculous! What if I'm ready to go to sleep and The Raven magically appears? The fact that there is an achievement requiring me to fight this guy 100 times is really annoying. Once you ice a undetermined number of players, The Raven will appear on your fightlist.

Click on the yellow help mark to learn more. Our trusty Shotgun Blasts have been replaced with Sniper Shots and they only drop when you ice people. You can no longer ask your mafia for Ammo. When we complained about spam this really wasn't the problem. The Raven will only be available for 8 hours. If you don't kill him, you won't see him again for three days. What kind of crap is this!?

You can also click on the Ammo images to see how much damage they do. The Sniper Shot damage is not available on this page so we won't know that until we use one of them.

Just in case you didn't see The Raven on the fightlist or the Operations Page, he also has his own spot on the Home Page Module.

Start the fight by clicking on the "Attack" button on the fightlist, the yellow "Fight" button on the Operations Page or the "Fight him" button on the Home Page.

He looks the same but The Raven put some skill points in his health and is a little stronger than he was in the past. His health jumped from 30,000 to 55,000. You would think they could have adjusted the timer to compensate for this increase.

If you don't have Ammo, you will need to farm it and kill the Raven within 8 hours. Since we can't use Shotgun Blasts anymore, the combos are now important because you want to do as much damage as possible. Zynga decided to mess with the combos as well. You will see the bad news when you click on "See Combos". The fine prints says "There are 6 different red C-C-C-combos when you fight the Assassin. That means the red combo that works for you may not be the same for your friends.".

Here are the green, yellow and a common red combo. The red combo may or may not work for you. I will try to find all six of them but so far this seems to be the only one posted anywhere and it worked on my account. I have a feeling that this red combo may work for everybody right now and the other 5 will be needed for future fights.

Begin the fight by clicking on "Start" and then the Ammo combinations of your choice.

Sniper Shots seem to do between 150 and 250 damage each. Here are the damage results of 6 different attacks using Sniper Shots.

If you run out of health you can heal right from the fight using currency of the destination you are in or New York.

When you run out of Ammo (you will), Zynga isn't shy about letting you know that you can buy it with Reward Points. If you run out during the fight, there is no need to go anywhere. Get whatever Ammo items you need at a price of 10 Reward Points per 10 items.

Before you start the fight, you can buy Ammo items from the Operations Page.

You can also purchase Ammo from the Marketplace under the Special Loot tab.

Buy them in bulk up to 250 at a time by using the drop down menu.

Because you can only farm for Ammo when The Raven is active, it wouldn't be a bad idea to stop the fight right before you are finished and go stock up. This way you will have the items for the next fight. Just make sure you have enough time.

Once you knock the Ravens health down to zero, the fight will be over and you will get a lame message from the Raven. Honestly, with all the bullshit involved, do they really need to make you feel like you suck?

At least you win the Assassin Reward which is a Assassin's Jacket. For now the stats of 170/100 are good but I imagine by the time anybody gets 100 of them they will be outdated. If you don't spend Reward Points, you probably won't be able to beat The Raven in 8 hours. Zynga needs to increase the drop rate of Ammo or get rid of the last achievement. They will lose even more players if they leave it as is. This Boss Fight really sucks!
